With a fastidiousness for local sake, this company cultivates the rare brewer's rice, Kamenoo that was developed in Shonai Town and brews sake from it. In 2008, junmai daiginjoshu sake brewed from 100% Kamenoo was awarded the honor prize at the Tohoku awards ceremony recognizing excellence in sake.
