The cultural property of the Japanese heritage "The Three Mountains of Dewa "A Journey to Rebirth""

Kiyokawa is a post town which has developed as a "Water Station" of Mogami River. As a result, many people visited to Kiyokawa, and there are still many historic sites, cultures and relics which have historical values. Kiyokawa is also known as a place of; "the legend of Minamoto No Yoshitsune" exists, where Matsuo Basho landed, where The Tohoku Boshin War broke out, and the birth place of "the forerunner of Meiji Restration" Kiyokawa Hachiro.
Kiyokawa is promoting the entire district as a "Town of history", and the restored Checkpoint can be used as a base for walking around "the town of history Kiyokawa".
